How to side-load this add-in to your Microsoft Word (aka install manually, not through Microsoft Store)
1. Open the Office Add-ins Menu:
In the Home Tab of the Ribbon, select the Add-ins icon/button to open the dropdown. In the dropdown menu, select +More Add-ins
2. Open the My Add-ins menu:
Select My Add-ins tab to view a list of your customized Add-ins. In the top right of the window, select Upload my Add-in. A file browser will open in a new window.
3. Upload the External Source Citation Tool manifest file:
In the file browser, navigate to where you saved and/or unzipped the Add-in folder that you downloaded (C:\Users\[username]\Downloads\enercon-ExternalSourceCitationTool... by default). Locate the manifest file in the root directory (C:\Users\[username]\Downloads\enercon-ExternalSourceCitationTool\manifest.xml by default). Select and open the **manifest file** (named manifest.xml).
How to use the tool
1. Open the tool:
In the Home Tab of the Ribbon, select the Open Tool icon/button to launch the add-in.
3. Fill out the template:
Simply fill out the template and, when ready, click the Insert Citation button. The tool will format the content, add punctuation, and create a new line.
